Assessment Workshop for Department Chairs Oct 28, 3:30 to 5:00 PM Emerald Bay B, Student Center

The purpose of this workshop is to help department chairs develop a plan for assessing student learning outcomes in their undergraduate majors. Each department is expected to produce such a plan by June 1, 2010, and to carry out at least one assessment activity in 2010-11. Participants will learn the essential elements of an assessment plan and identify a number of possible assessment methods. Department chairs are encouraged to bring one more faculty member to the workshop. Please RSVP to Dianna Mendoza, dmmendoz@uci.edu.
