Curricular ReportsClass Size Research This report discusses recent research on the impact of class size on student learning. Summer Instructional Quality, March 2009 This report, prepared for the Council on Educational Policy, examined the quality of summer instruction using four different indicators of quality: course evaluations, a summer student survey, faculty interviews, and grades in subsequent, non-summer courses. Course evaluations from summer showed positive results; course evaluations from academic courses were not available for review. The student survey and faculty interviews showed that both students and faculty were generally positive about the benefits of summer compared and that instructional quality in summer was equal to or better than instructional quality during the academic year. Results from the sequenced courses were mixed. Instructional Quality of Summer Courses at UCI Last Updated: 11/3/2009 |
