University of California Undergraduate Student Experience Survey (UCUES)UCI regularly collects and reports data on undergraduate student experiences, campus climate, and self-reported learning gains throught the University of California Undergraduate Experience Survey (UCUES). UCUES is a web-based, census survey of all undergraduates in the UC system. It is conducted during the spring academic term of even years, and hosted by UC Berkeley on behalf of all nine UC undergraduate campuses. All undergraduate students aged 18 and over who are enrolled at the University of California undergraduate campuses during the spring are invited via email to participate. The survey covers many areas of the University's undergraduate programs, including student experiences in academics, student development over time, and civic engagement. At UCI, results from UCUES are used as a regular part of the academic program review process, for understanding group differences in areas such as campus climate, for understanding the family and academic backgrounds of our students, for determining levels of satisfaction with instruction and advising, to determine the post-graduate plans of students, and to collect self-reported gains in academic areas and in personal development. Below are links to a variety of UCI reports that use UCUES data. For information on the latest administration, click on UCUES 2008 below.
